Text by Matthew Turner: The analogy of the moving square game is made. Sequentially, each block on the site is addressed as an investment puzzle, intensively managed with various incentives employed at each stage (either financial or by constructing publicly-funded community uses) by the game player, who is the municipality. The aim is to decant and redevelop the whole area block by block. The end game is a densely developed site with city block style structures of two storeys mixed use, with the existing buildings rising out of them.
