Havenkwartier, "De Silo's" sub-area
The Municipality of Deventer made this site available. 60 plans were submitted for the Havenkwartier site.
Once you pass the silos at the lock, then you are really in Deventer. These buildings are not officially listed, but are well-known landmarks among the local population. This is why it has been decided to preserve and reuse these buildings. The assignment focuses on the transformation of the "high" or "grey" silo – with demolition out of the question – and new development on the wharf as a contemporary extension of the industrial ensemble. The programme focuses on mixed use: innovation and production, culture, entertainment and housing.
