AQ 099 - METAMORPHOSE

Text by Joost Glissenaar: The master plan is conceived  in several superimposed layers. Water is the most important element. It becomes the main information route, it connects 85 % of the buildings. Through a data-matrix  the design of the houses is organized. Inspired by the in Leeuwarden born graphic artist M.C. Escher the matrix plays a game with black and white cells arranged in square or rectangular pattern. Every data matrix is composed of two solid borders in L-shape.
